Acer CloudMobile Coming To Mobile World Congress

At CES last month, Acer unveiled its online storage solution, AcerCloud which will give owners of Acer PCs access to all their documents, photos, films and music while on the go. At Mobile World Congress (MWC) later this month, the company will unveil the first smartphone which will include AcerCloud technology.

The Acer CloudMobile will be less than 10mm thick, come with a 4.3in HD display and will be powered by a 1.5GHz dual-core processor. The phone will also come with Android 4.1 installed but while it will be on show at MWC in Barcelona, it won’t be available to buy until Q3 of 2012.

Acer is boasting about the phone’s design, announcing a design award from the International Forum Design of Germany. Some of the design tweaks made by Acer is the includion of perforated stainless steel, a “DNA Sleeve” design which promises “soft, wrapping contours” to help enhance the handheld experience and “tactile details” on the volume buttons and the rear of the phone.
