Assassin’s Creed Unity season pass holders are entitled to download their free Ubisoft game this week.
When Assassin’s Creed Unity was launched on November 11, the game was riddled with technical issues – particularly on PC.
Ubisoft has spent the weeks since launch trying to combat the issues with regularly released patches, but not before offering some compensation to gamers.
A fortnight after the game was released, Ubisoft discontinued the Assassin’s Creed Unity season pass and offered anyone who had already bought one a free Ubisoft title in return.
Anyone who bought the title can download the Assassin’s Creed Unity Dead Kings DLC for free, but the season pass holders are eligible to download one of the following titles for free this week:
- The Crew
- Far Cry 4
- Watch Dogs
- Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag
- Rayman Legends
- Just Dance 2015
“You will be able to connect do a dedicated website to log in and select the free game of your choice,” said Ubisoft at the time. “The free game has to be on the same platform as your Assassin’s Creed Unity copy.”
Ubisoft will publish a special guide for the season pass holders in the next few days.
Anyone eligible for the free download must redeem their one free game by March 15, 2015, when the offer expires.
The Assassin’s Creed Unity Patch 4 went live today, targeting performance issues gamers were having with the title.
Ubisoft says the patch “will address issues with stability and performance as well as online matchmaking and connectivity (among other fixes and improvements).”
