A whopping £50 off the Tefal OptiGrill is the dirtiest #NationalBurgerDay deal you’ll ever see

It’s #NationalBurgerDay today, aka the best made up day ever, and a whopping £50 off the excellent Tefal OptiGrill is the sauciest deal around.

You probably already know that we’re pretty big fans of Tefal round these parts. Its Toast n’ Egg combo gadget earned a nearly perfect 9/10 score in our review, while the Tefal Cuisine Companion wasn’t far behind with marks of 8/10.

But if you ask me, the kitchen gizmo maker’s finest hour is the Tefal OptiGrill, a damned ingenious electric grill that combines built-in sensors with an LED display to more or less idiot-proof the cooking of a wide range of meats, fish and veg.

The automatic sensors adapt the grill’s temperature to what’s being sizzled, meaning you can evenly cook multiple bits of meat at the same time without so much as having to lift the lid.

These sensors work in tandem with the LED cooking level indicator, which gives you a simple colour coded look at ‘doneness’ – pink is pre-heating, blue/purple rare, medium orange, and well done red, plus there’s a manual mode for the real perfectionists out there.

There’s also a bunch of pre-programmed cooking cycles covering everything from poultry and fish to, you guessed it, burgers, and the OptiGrill is (in our experience) one of the most reliable ways to get accurately cooked steak short of shelling out for a fancy sous vide machine.

Cleaning is pretty effortless, too, as the grill plates detach at the click of a button, and there’s a drip tray that slides conveniently under the unit to collect all those lovely juices and keep your counter squeaky clean.

Can you tell I bloody love this bad boy? Despite it’s bulky design, it’s the one thing that will never, ever find its way into a cupboard in my kitchen.

The best bit? Right now, you can save big on this essential bit of gastro gear.

In celebration of everyone’s favourite made up holiday, #NationalBurgerDay, Tefal is offering 40% of the OptiGrill ranges (there’s two models to choose from). Just use the special voucher code BURGERDAY 2016 when checking out at its Home & Cook store.

To put that into context, when we reviewed the Tefal OptiGrill (it earned a hearty 8/10 score), it was priced at a not inconsiderable £150, but use this code today and you can knock it down to just £90 – or better still, head over to Currys, where it’s an extra £10 off and can be had for just £80 – a massive £50 savings.

Yeah, we saved the best to last, didn’t we?

BUY NOW: Tefal OptiGrill for just £79.99 at Currys – a whopping £50 off!

Happy #NationalBurgerDay and even happier indoor grilling!
