8GB Asus Eee PC Price And Prospective Date Outed

The Asus Eee PC 4G may have won the first-to-market race, but us folks in the know have been holding on to our cash in favour of the higher-speced model with 8GB of flash memory and 1GB RAM. This model is notable because it actually has enough hard drive space to fit a Windows XP install on it (just), as well as enough memory to run it – albeit slowly.

Aside from these increases, the Eee PC 8G is still the same hardware elsewhere; same chassis, same 7in, 800 x 480 screen and the same 900MHz Intel processor.
