The 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 has been made available for pre-order in the UK with the high storage capacity handset to land with a hefty £600 price tag.
With the 16GB and 32GB capacity Samsung Galaxy S3 handsets hitting the UK earlier this year, the large 64GB handset has yet to make it to British shores with online retailer Clove now offering 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 pre-orders ahead of an as yet unconfirmed release date.
Despite taking pre-orders for the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3, Clove has warned those eager to snap up the large storage Android device might not be able to get their hands on the HTC One X rival anytime soon with the retailer to readdress orders in two weeks time before deciding whether or not to stock the device.
“In two weeks time we will decide whether or not to take stock of the handset based on the number of pre-orders that we have received for the handset,” and official Clove spokesperson has announced via the company’s official blog. “At this stage we will provide an updated ETA for the arrival of stock. Do be aware that from this point onwards there is likely to be a 5-6 week lead time.”
Set to become one of the priciest handsets on the market, the £600 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 is still £99 cheaper than the similar capacity iPhone 5. Despite its lofty price tag, it is expected that the latest addition to the Samsung Galaxy S3 offering will be eclipsed in price when the 64GB Samsung Galaxy Note 2 finally lands.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs
Other than its increased storage capacity, the 64GB Samsung Galaxy S3 features no additional bells and whistles over its 16GB and 32GB siblings.
Playing host to a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, the Samsung Galaxy S3 boasts 1GB of RAM alongside an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. Whilst a second 1.9-megapixel camera lines up on the handset’s fore, the Samsung Galaxy S3 has ample space with the 8.6mm thick handset hosting an expansive 4.8-inch 1280 x 720p display.
Running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS from the box, the Samsung Galaxy S3 Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update is now available.
