4G iPad 4 confirmed for UK EE network

At the launch of the iPad mini, Apple also launched a new version of the full-size iPad, and it’s coming to the UK’s EE 4G network.

Apple’s 4th Generation iPad offers the same basic design as the iPad 3, but packs-in the new Lightning connector and 4G LTE connectivity designed for use widely across the world. As part of Phil Schiller’s presentation, Apple revealed that the 4G version of the new tablet will also come to the UK, via the EE network.

Seen clearly as part of the Apple presentation, the EE logo features in a roster of networks set to get the 4G iPad 4, including US carrier Sprint.

EE will be the first UK network to offer 4G connectivity in the UK, with its service set to open up on 30 October. Mobile tariffs for the network start at £36 a month with a phone, although as yet we do not know quite how much an iPad 4 will cost you as part of the EE 4G network.

The iPad 4 was launched as part of the launch of the iPad mini, which offers a 7.9in screen, and starts at $329 in the US.
