The music game genre was brought back to life this year with Rock Band 4 and Guitar Hero Live. But if you were going to buy one of them, I’d recommend Guitar Hero Live.
The combination of a revamped control system and the endless content available in the music channel-esque Guitar Hero TV portion, you’re onto a winner.
There’s the live-action campaign too where you basically become a real-life Guitar Hero, with the crowd reacting to how well (or how badly) you’re playing.
The only problem with Guitar Hero Live is that £125 asking price for a dual guitar pack. You can pick it up for £70 with just one peripheral though, but this is a game that’s better with friends.
