If you’ve got a little Christmas cash to spare, consider upgrading your computing game with the Samsung Galaxy Book 2-in-1 hybrid laptop.
Fortunately, UK retailer John Lewis has knocked an impressive £150 off the price of the Samsung Galaxy Book, bringing it down from £499 to just £349. That’s impressive, considering that the relatively new device originally launched for north of £600.
This compact and powerful laptop features a 10.6-inch Full HD TFT display, and comes with a 7th-generation Intel Core M3 processor, which should be nippy enough for most business and leisure computing tasks.
It also comes with Samsung’s custom-built S Pen stylus, which you can use for taking notes, opening your favourite apps, drawing pictures, editing photos, and amending documents. It’s got a comfortable grip, an ultra-precision 0.7mm tip, and battery-free operation – just like a regular pen.
Other perks include a generous 10-hour battery life, support for Bluetooth, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera for video-calling, and Intel’s integrated HD Graphics 620. This particular model features 4GB of RAM and 64GB of eMMC storage, but you can also expand the storage capacity using the built-in Micro SD card slot.
We gave the Samsung Galaxy Book a very respectable 4/5 score in our review, praising the hybrid laptop’s portable design, impressive battery life, and super-vibrant AMOLED screen.
Our verdict reads: “If money’s no object and portability is your primary concern, the Galaxy Book is a great convertible.”
