In one of the best Black Friday deals so far, Amazon knocks £270 off a premium Asus VivoBook laptop with seemingly no drawbacks.
We’ve been getting rather excited about Black Friday laptop deals this week, but mostly because retailers are looking to ditch stock of older laptops running seventh-generation Intel Core chips. We were surprised, then, to see that Amazon has slashed a huge £270 off a brand-new Asus VivoBook running the very latest eight-gen Core chip.
While we haven’t reviewed this S410UA-BV133T model ourselves, the Asus specification list is very promising indeed. You get a quad-core Intel Core i5-8250U that should be perfect for everything from photo editing to light video work, a 256GB SSD and a tiny screen bezel that makes this 14-inch laptop feel more like a 13-inch model. All that, and it only weighs 1.4kg.
There’s one drawback we can see from the off, and that’s the HD, not Full HD screen. This means images and text won’t be quite as sharp, and everything on screen will appear a little bigger than on a 1080p model.
This £270 discount is still not to be sniffed at, and you can now pick this laptop up for just £530, down from its £800 RRP.
Reviews on Amazon have been generally very positive so far, with an average 4/5 rating. Check those reviews to see if this laptop is right for you.
