These Microsoft Mixed Reality headset deals save you £349 on gaming PC

If you’ve yet to dabble in augmented reality or virtual reality then this future-fondling Microsoft promotion could be the perfect way to get involved.

Microsoft is running a partner promotion with Amazon that will see you save an incredible £349 when you buy a qualifying laptop or desktop PC with a HP Mixed Reality Headset. Don’t balk at the prices on the page – the discount will be applied at checkout.

With this deal, you’ll be able to get discounts on a huge range of high-end laptops and desktop PCs from big name PC gaming vendors like MSI, HP, the Asus ROG series, and Dell’s Alienware line-up.

All of the 26 products listed as part of this promotion come with sufficiently supercharged components that will be able to power the HP Mixed Reality headset.

You’ll find an array of graphics cards on offer, from the more lowly (but still powerful) Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060, right through to the powerful Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080.

While we have reviewed the Windows Mixed Reality platform already, we’ve yet to give it a final score on account of how new it is.

However, we were largely positive about the promise that the platform holds, and were impressed by the low entry cost compared to the HTC Vive. We added: “The early support from big-name PC vendors and confirmed Steam VR support in the near future are also very positive signs.”
