LEGO NASA Apollo Saturn V set is a geek’s delight and in stock at Amazon US

LEGO Ideas is amazing. If you’re not familiar with the initiative, LEGO enables the community to make online submissions for sets they’d like to see and, if the ideas gain enough traction, they are made into retail sets.

One said idea is the NASA Apollo Saturn V rocket, which took messrs Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins to the moon in 1969.

The 1,969 piece set (get it?) features a metre-high scale model of the Saturn V with 3 removable stages. The lunar Lander and lunar orbiter hide within the spacecraft and there’s also a trio of new astronaut micro-figures to play with.

The July 2017 set is currently in stock at Amazon as we move into Black Friday weekend and available or the low-low price of $119.99.

Lego itself doesn’t have any of the Saturn V set in stock so you might need to act fast in order to grab one.

The set is described by LEGO as “challenging” proving once again that you’re never too old to enjoy a high quality building experience.

Just make sure you’ve cleared some space to display it in the home, because you’re going to want this big boy to have pride of place.

If you want to double down on NASA-themed LEGO, the Women of NASA set is also available for your building pleasure. The 231 piece set is $24.99 with free Prime shipping at Amazon US.

Amazon is also promising 30% off LEGO sets on Cyber Monday, so we’ll keep you posted if any mega deals are announced.
