Deal: Save £130 on the high-end Google Pixel 2 smartphone

Currys has dropped the price on both Google Pixel 2 and Google Pixel 2 XL models, allowing you to save up to a whopping £130.

You have to hand it to Google, it’s only two iterations into the smartphone cycle and yet it’s already changed the game with several features. The Pixel was always touted as having one of the best smartphone cameras on the market but the Pixel 2 takes it a step further.

The 12MP rear-facing camera might not sound like much at first, but with Google’s new custom Visual Core chipset you can adapt your shots to get the most of out any environment. Also, with an 8MP camera on the front you’ll never have to compromise when angling for the perfect selfie again. All of your pictures are made even better by a gorgeous 5″ AMOLED screen (6″ for the XL).

In our review for the Pixel 2, Max Parker said: “Where the Pixel 2 really shines is in the level of detail crammed into the picture. Everything from pollen inside a flower to writing on a sign in the distance makes the frame, and you can even crop in on a picture without it turning into a blurry mess.”

As with any of the latest phones to hit the market, the Pixel 2 boasts the latest version of Android right out of the gate, but the inclusion of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor makes it run like a charm.

The cheapest Pixel 2 model comes in at £499 with 64GB of storage, plenty of space for all your shots of perfectly aligned coffee and croissants. Did we also mention that all Pixel phones come with unlimited cloud storage for photos? For any photo-enthusiast, this is a must buy.
