With all the talk of the Pixel 4 and the Pixel 3a launches, we’re not hearing a lot about the existing Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL smartphones. Google has ensured that changes today with its one-day, half-price sale on the entire Pixel 3 range in the United States.
To celebrate the birthday of its Fi mobile network, Google is reducing the cost of the 64GB Pixel 3 to just $399, down from $799. The top-end Pixel 3 XL with 128GB of storage is currently $499, down from the usual $999 asking price.
The only catch is you’ll need to activate the phones on the Google Fi network within 30 days of them being shipped, but it is open to new and existing Fi users. The best-ever prices on these phones lasts until midnight PST on April 22nd.
Here are the one-day-only prices:
Pixel 3 64 GB is down from $799 to $399
Pixel 3 128 GB is down from $899 to $449
Pixel 3 XL 64 GB is down from $899 to $449
Pixel 3 XL 128 GB is down from $999 to $499
The Fi network launched four years ago as an alternative to the major carriers in the United States. Its major selling point is its simple pricing and ability to roam in other countries without incurring fees. Google Fi also intelligently moves between carrier networks in order to provide the best coverage depending on your location.
Google also enables users to pay $10 per gigabyte of data with an upper limit of 6GB. After that Fi’s bill protection kicks in and data is free for the rest of the month. You can head over to the Google Store now to pick your phone and Fi plan.
Given there’s still around six months until the Pixel 4 phones become available, this might be the best deal we’ll see on the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL during its lifetime.
