Advertorial: TouchPal’s AI assistant Talia, from CooTek
We’ve all used many virtual assistants but CooTek has released one like we’ve never seen before called Talia. Talia is the first AI powered virtual assistant to deliver relevant content seamlessly at the time you need it in any conversation through the mobile keyboard.
CooTek’s next generation TouchPal Keyboard Pro comes packed with even more features, to help save you time and effort. Front and centre is Talia, the built-in AI assistant that is all about delivering relevant content seamlessly at the time you need it.
The way Talia works is to offer relevant recommendations based on the actions being performed at the time. Here, you can see some of the possible actions. In the first example, imagine you are in a text conversation and someone suggests dinner. Talia will spot that immediately and give the option to search for nearby restaurant.
Talia enables you to quickly find restaurants when in the middle of a conversation
On pressing the Talia button (the blue circle at the top of the keyboard), you can drop in a suggestion into your conversation.
The idea here is save a bit of time and offer more convenience. There’s a similar option with real time weather reports, as per the above. If, in the middle of a phone conversation, you reference the weather, then Talia will provide the relevant weather information in with a suggestion based on the user’s location. And if you type in a city and reference the weather, Talia will also give the weather forecast of that location even if it is on the other side of the globe.
Similarly, imagine you want to add a quick calculation into a message, for example how best to split the restaurant bill. Just drop in the calculation and Talia will add the answer. Talia will also handle currency conversions in a similar way, based on live exchange rates.
Talia adds several other time-savers too, including Swift Paste, which cuts the number of steps it takes to copy and paste emails or phone numbers. None of these are necessarily designed to replace equivalents already built into your phone, rather Talia is there to reduce app switching when you are in the middle of a text or social media conversation.
There’s also an accurate predictive text feature, based on the AI Engine in the TouchPal Keyboard, that uses the context of the message you are writing to make suggestions. So, for example, if you were typing a sentence like “Mary is not perfect but I love”, the predictive text will suggest ‘her’ based on the ‘Mary’ and the words used previously to reference her gender.
And if you pine after the AR emojis available on higher end smartphones, the keyboard offers something similar. By using the front facing camera, you can create 10 second, animated AR-live emojis based on your faces – they’ll match what you say and do. AvatarMoji Live creates 3D animated avatars using our facial features, while AvatarMoji Cartoon creates and records animated emojis with sound.
Talia is compatible with most popular messaging platforms and there’s more about Talia in the video below too:
The TouchPal Keyboard Pro also provides support for over 110 languages.
