Danny, a very positive review indeed.

How will this Yamaha YSP-2200 fare as compared to the more conventional 5.1 systems such as KEF KHT1505, Samsung HT-E6750W, Acoustic Energy Compact Neo 6.1 or Harman Kardon HKTS 20BQ/230 - which is almost of the same price range ?

I am really considering this YSP-2200 for my bedroom (size 20 feet X 20 feet) , but am concerned that the surround may not be as good as a 5.1 system. Please share your thoughts or any recommendation.

Thanks !

Great review, indeed.

If i understand it well, you would plug the HDMI into the yam, then redirect the video to the TV using some HDMI output ; Is this what you call the ARC compatible output ?
Another question: tell me, is this sound bar capable of decoding the AAC 6channels which is frequent on internet available MKVs ( I read them through my Popcorn unit or a WD TV live) or do i have to "downgrade" to stero analog output??
