Microsoft has announced the Lumia 550, offering you an affordable way to get Windows 10 in your pocket.
If you want an entry-level phone to try out the mobile Windows 10 experience, then the Microsoft Lumia 550 might just be the one for you.
Complementing the new flagship Lumia 950 series, the Lumia 550 is an $139 budget alternative.
When it arrives in December, it will pack a 4.7-inch AMOLED 1280x720p HD display, powered by a quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon 210 processor and 1GB of RAM.
For all your content, you’ll have 8GB of storage. No word on whether it’ll have microSD card expansion support yet.

In the back you’ll find a 5-megapixel camera, with a 2-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper rounding out the camera offerings.
The Lumia 550 will be available in red, white, blue and black. That’s a black glass front of course, and a wraparound polycarbonate shell.
There’s no word on a specific release date or UK pricing, but we’ll keep you posted.
