The Philips Streamium MCi500H is the perfect start for a networked music system. It looks nice, packs in all the essential features, and sounds okay, too. That said, in terms of sound and build quality, as a stand alone, mp3 playing, micro system, it doesn't really hold a candle to similarly priced 'normal' micro systems that have an mp3 player plugged in the back. On the 'StreamiumCafe' web forum, another owner suggested that I shut the unit completely down using the 'Eco' button, then re-boot it.
