UPDATED: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Hits Shop Shelves

Its good, but I would be miffed if this beats uncharted 2 in game of the year....UC2 beats this hands down. 26+ chapters to play through, graphics are 2x MW2, great story...amazing set pieces...and you have to play a touch battle on on-line "plunder" to be hooked forever....

it probably will win goty,goty is like the films that win 9 oscars that nobody likes,there are 2 types of gamers a)like mgs4,fallout 3,killzone 2.b) like uc2 batman resi 5.mgs4 won goty of the decade from most people,i rented it and even bought it twice incase i missed something that everyone else got.fallout 3 was tear inducing,smash my monitor in banality fromthe 1st minute.

uc2 feels right ass you play it same as arkaham and resi 5(hard to explain),sort of like most zelda games just feel right.

this game does get good in rio and later but reviewers rave about th snowski part(it is good but lasts about 14 seconds).one reviewer raved about the bit in the begining using the gattling onboard? i think that lasted even less time.

lets just hope when actiw make enough money they open it up to the public,the game is hacked already theyve more than covered piracy costs plus private servers cost them nothing.

Just finished on Veteran - took me 11 hours. You would have to be god to do it in 4 hours at that level I feel! If you are doing it in 4 hours then up the difficulty level! But, it was easier that COD4 on Veteran though.

Destructable: Gordom,betelgeus - sorry, disagree with both of you! Things certainly are destrucible but "virtually everything" - try playing Battlefield Bad Company before saying that. Compared to Battlefield it is quite disappointing and I agree that the engine is showing it's age. The backgrounds are often really low resolution and look pretty awful.

Overall I have really enjoyed the Campaign. It is very much more of the same with hardly any innovation. Special Ops is good fun. Not a huge fan of the multiplayer as I just guess bashed, but again, it seems more of the same.

Can't comment on the PC version as I gave up on PC gaming a while ago.
