That was actually true, well for the most part, there was a FM3 vs GT5 poll on CNet which chespace (the Turn 10 community manager) offered a free 'unicorn' to vote for FM3. The thread is still there on Turn 10 forums if you want to find it.

Also I do believe Cub was quite discerning in his list of games, they really are quite good...

Free unicorns for CNET Awards LOL really well that is very sad I agree. What you really cannot hide from is the unbelievable time it has took to develop GT5 and the bare faced cheek of charging for a demo. I played GT a lot back in the PS2 days but the franchise is dead in my book. Forza is by no means perfect either personally the game demo is far below the par set by hype.

Maybe I am not discerning but none of the games above is a system seller except the uncharted series which I can live without and save pennies for a rainy day.

@hank - I make no attempt to hide that I am a huge fan of the PS3 (and Apple, for that matter) on this or other sites. That doesn't mean, however, that I spout nothing but fanboy trash. Out of interest, do you deny your inner fanboy? 'cause it's certainly there and in strong control. To call Gran Turismo, Uncharted and God of War, garbage, even if you're not a fan of the genre, is one of the most fanboish things I've read in these comments. I mean, seriously, are you still trying to hide your love for MS?

There's dozens of cliches around longer waiting equaling better products, that may not always be the case but lets wait until a comparison can be run and do it fairly...

@Max - thanks for clarifying, I couldn't remember the details. The fact that it was a simple poll on a website demeans their actions further, surely?

I'm afraid I have to own up to my own illiteracy in my previous posts. I am sure I have waxed lyrical about Uncharted or am I wrong and you cannot read. Sorry no love lost with MS although they do a ton of things Sony do not do, I have to admire them. All you seem to do is list sub par Sony exclusives that generally no one cares for, I smell elitism like a blackened MS console. Yuo should work for Sony LOL

Gran Turismo? Broken gameplay from birth, and charging for a demo (two years ago now?) that is some nerve.
God Of War Repetitive slasher with nice visuals.
LBP Rag Dolls? Level creation? Too kiddie and no time for me.
Killzone? A technically nice graphic representation with broken gameplay.
I am too bored to go through the rest.
