PSP Go! - Sony's Next Console?

We've heard the rumours and we've speculated to our hearts content, but the guys at 1UP reckon they can do better than that. According to their "sources directly involved with the new system," Sony's new PSP hardware will be unveiled at E3, will be called the PSP Go! and will apparently look something like the 'artists impression' below.

The portable console will, if 1UP's sources can be relied upon, forego the UMD drive sported by every previous PSP in favour on internal flash memory. Initially two SKUs, an 8GB and a 16GB model, will be available. Games will be downloaded with some 100 older titles available come launch, answering the question of how they can be played with no UMD drive.
According to 1UP's sources - and mock-up - the PSP GO!'s controls will slide out from beneath the screen. Despite some speculation, a second analogue stick won't be appearing, keeping the controls consistent with the current PSP layout.
1UP seems pretty certain about the information supplied, so unless Sony is running a deliberate misinformation campaign, E3 seems set to be the event to attend this June.

PSP Go! is the name of their add-ons (cam, GPS) so would be a poor choice for the next version of the console itself.
