Microsoft Extends Xbox 360 Warranty to Cover E74 Error

So grouse you have a broken/melted chocolate teapot and new chocolate teapot where is this chocolate teapot backup you are spouting on about? Your chocolate smells fishy? Your post seems to make no sense is this another PS3 sociopath gracing me with more invention?

Myself, since launch and before this article, three it could be more, i'm losing count, E74 errors all replaced within two weeks with a month XBL each time all completely GRATIS.

Haha PS3 well designed it's fighting the PSP for the worst Sony release EVER so sell the chocolate teapots to willy wonka and get a PS3 problem sorted LOL

My new chocolate teapot is the new xbox. and my backup one is the one i have with the e74 fault (about 18 months old) that i can now get repaired for free. 1 new chocolate teapot + 1 repaired chocolate teapot = 2 chocolate teapots;)

Furthermore, i would not count myself as any sort of fanboy to any console. I have both and can see the merits in each console, i just wish my xbox was more reliable.

Everyone saying they have a three year warranty on their 360... I feel sorry for you. It only covers RROD (and now E74) not any other problems(e.g. their disc scratching problems etc.). Furthermore, MS weren't being "nice" providing this extended warranty so you shouldn't be pleased with them for it - they rushed a fundamentally flawed product to market to beat the competition and didn't care for their customers at that pointany more than they do now. Providing the warranty was pre-emptive of them for class action suits in USA and the EU all over them in Europe.
P.S. I'm not a PS3 fanboy - I don't have either of the consoles!

I agree with Joe whole heartedly. Is there a subliminal brainwashing kit sold with every 360?, as the people who buy this poorly designed, obviously flawed unreliable piece of junk just keep harping in on about how wonderful Microsoft are for extending the warranty to cover a fault they caused in the first place (1 of 3 we know about). & are only supplying the warranty for fear of getting lawyers involved.
Noticed a few comments that suggest that Microsofts 3 year warranty is better than Sonys warranty, but keep missing the point that until recently it only covered RROD, & now they've finally admitted to the E74 error, well bully for them - how many people have paid for 2nd 360's because they weren't previously covered by the extended warranty for Microsofts failure. Also the issue of 360's scratching DVD's is still being denied by Microsoft & stated to be the users fault - for what, daring to walk around their own living room while their games console is switched on - the cheeky monkeys - see www.youtube.com/?v=UbaJgEjY-s8 (from BBC watchdog a few weeks ago).
Basically what you've got is an extended warranty that kind of covers the faults Microsoft designed into their console, & for everything else there's the same warranty as pretty much every over other piece of electrical equipment out there. You're not getting anything extra, it's Just Micrsoft covering their backs. If you think they'd put a billion dollars profit aside if they didn't have to you're more brainwashed than I thought.
