Many of my friends (read 3 of 4) who own a Ps3 have 3 accounts to access the various international stores as content differs meaning (1 Europe, 1 US, 1 Japanese) however they only use 1 frequently. This means that there could be a lot more subscribers than actual people. The difference on Live is that the system is locked so there is no overseas accounts and whilst many have a second account, this is rarely a live account (this is a common set up with me and my 360 friends). Interestedly 2 Ps3 mates cant stop raving about Home whilst the other 2 couldn't care less. Moral of the post - don't take statistics at face value although it is clear the ps3 is catching up which is good for both systems as competition breeds better games and services.

@Andrew, totally agree about your comment about competition. Whilst I prefer gaming on the Xbox I would HATE for Microsoft to win totally and kill off the competition. That would be REALLY bad news for everyone. Microsoft only every do anything useful when they are playing catchup. It does worry me that Sony have made too many mistakes with the PS3 though and I just hope they can afford to keep competing with M$!

@Andrew, yeh most of my mates and me also use more than 2 accounts. We buy from the US and Singapore stores due to our imported games as well. I used to use entropay for my foreign purchases, but it stopped working end of last year, so i'm buying psn cards from gaminglue.
I also have to agree that there are more and more ps3 owners. Friends and family all around have joined the ps3 bandwagon recently.

"According to Sony four million of those users are using Home". Lol, shouldn't that read "four million have logged into Home (eventually), thought it was crap and not been back since".
For me PSN is rubbish compared to Xbox live. Joining games and meeting up with friends is just so painful. But, it's free - so you get what you pay for!
