The release of Resident Evil 5 is but days away and not only are we at TR pretty excited, but Microsoft are too. As evidenced by the announcement of a special Resident Evil 5 edition Xbox 360.

The package includes a special red Xbox 360 Elite, a matching controller, a black wireless headset an 'exclusive' dashboard theme, a copy of Super Street Fighter ll Turbo HD Remix - another Capcom title, for the curious - and, surprise surprise, a copy of the game itself. Personally, the Collectors' Edition with its funky satchel, figurine and sew-on patch has more appeal, although the chosen shadeof red is pretty sweet.

Pricing hasn't been mentioned, but with the standard Elite retailing in the £200 region, £230-odd seems a reasonable ballpark for the Resident Evil flavoured version. The special edition console will be on sale at the same time as the game - the 13th of March - and Microsoft warns the numbers are limited. So get pre-ordering now!

You would prefer the newer "Jasper" board which has superseded the "Falcon" board.

Look for 150W power output rating on the box for Jasper. Falco... more
