DualShock 3 UK Release Announced

Despite being announced in September last year, and available to buy in Japan since November Sony's DualShock3 PlayStation 3 controller still isn't available in the UK (not even from Lik-Sang, since Sony killed them off. Come Wednesday, that will change, though, as DualShock3 gets its official European release.

Firmware 1.94 and onwards is the only prerequisite for using any game capable of providing force feedback. Titles such as Metal Gear Solid 4, Drakes Fortune and Gran Turismo 5: Prologue are all DualShock enabled, and if you believe the marketing hype using the new controller should add a whole new level of immersion to your gaming experience. SixAxis motion control is still featured, for those few games where it's of any use, which some might appreciate.
The DualShock3 should cost around £30 to £35 depending where you buy it, which is in line with the Xbox 360 controller and not too hefty a premium over the non-force feedback capable SixAxis. If you fancy shaking up your gaming a bit then you know what to do.
