DS Lite Pink Too!

For the love of all that is holy in this godforsaken world…!?!

If I ever needed proof that NO ONE listens to me. NO ONE (not even my dutiful man servant Spode) then this is bleedin’ well it! Nintendo – curse its hide – has gone and followed Sony – its hide already cursed – in kowtowing to fashion fads in the most lugubrious of ways by ushering in a pink DS Lite.

To be fair Nintendo, with its more youthful image, is probably better suited to such tasteless whims than the uber serious King of Proprietary but this does little to appease the raging anti-trend sheep inside me. Neither does this Marie Claire-ish fluff from the company release:

“The new Nintendo DS Lite Pink will be the perfect accessory to brighten up those dull autumn days. [The] Nintendo DS Lite Pink will find a happy home in the most stylish of bags and is perfect for those on the go.”

At least it does clear up one argument: Pink = at home in the most stylish of bags. So men, Stop It!

The Pink (*shudder*) Nintendo DS Lite will be available from 27 October in Evans, Top Shop, Miss Selfridge, Monsoon, Moschino, Coast, Warehouse, Kookai, Jigsaw and The Body Shop. It’ll set you back the same as a normal DS Lite and naturally you’ll be expected to try it out, deliberate, check it in the mirror, ask if your bum looks big beside it, get a receipt and take it back two days later… used, but with the label still on it.
