BBC Delivers Project Canvas Details Comments

Is it just me or does it seem like Sky is just objecting to this because it will eat away at their potential customers?

I didn't realise the full potential of Project Canvas until I saw the screen shots. All I can say is wow! This is truly the future of TV! Bring it on!

I hope it will be a platform for HD on-demand content too, but no sign of HD in the article? Although, in light of the recent Ofcom report, I wonder how many people could stream HD, even by 2010?

I'm intrigued by the "Sorry Service Content" in the red.

hank: The monitor I'm currently on is not very clear, but I'm pretty sure it says "Sony Service Content".

So this would need entirely new hardware? I was hoping it would be a firmware upgrade to my humax freesat+ box. How is this different to the service we'll (eventually) get through the ethernet port on the back of current freesat boxes?
