Seeing as Five is free to view presumably this means Five HD should be coming to Freesat too?

I think 'free' channels like this shoud be available on all the platforms, I hate the fact 4HD is only on sky

Hmm!
Available in "Granada" region only for those receiving their picture off the main Winter Hill transmitter.
For those of us on relay transmitters(*) they might as well be transmitting the complete works of Shakespeare (in HD of course). We've currently got 4 analogue frequencies (no terrestrial C5) and the thieving gits are only giving us 3 of those for Digital Terrestrial. So we'll get DTT HD when politicians can be regarded as human beings.
(*) For my village to receive Winter Hill transmissions, either a large terraforming project would need to be undertaken, or we would need aerials of a height that would interfere with the aircraft on the approach to Manchester airport.

Wasn't the BBC-HD digital terrestrial supposed to have started back in April 2009? With ITV and C-4 were to follow thereafter.
