TrustedReviews NewslettersAmazon's video on demand service being US-exclusive was annoying enough, but now that high definition content is being added it's become practically insulting. Some 500 HD TV shows and films are being added to the 40,000 or so titles already available from Amazon-on-Demand.
TV shows are priced at $2.99 per HD episode with films slightly more expensive at between $3.99 and $4.99 a go. TV shows can be accessed either online, to download to PCs and Macs, or via a number of compatible set-top boxes and TVs. Films are available only through HD Amazon on Demand compatible devices.
Those include set-top boxes from TiVo and Roku, the latter costing only $99, making it a pretty decent entry level product. Sony and Panasonic are providing access to Amazon's video library via Sony Bravia Internet Video Link and Panasonic Viera Cast respectively.
All we need now if for Amazon to do the decent thing and secure distribution seals in the UK, too.

As a UKcentric site, it is a rather misleading headline, couldn't you have written Amazon US so as not to get the hopes of people up in the UK and the rest of the world?
