It is technically the misuse of flash that's annoying, flash video players like youtube seem to work reasonably well.
Unfortunately this move is just likely to spread the misuse. Killing flash and providing something different would at least have given us a chance to beat some sense into website designers.

exactly flash isn't bad per se, fast good quality video, but the misuse is almost criminal

Why would TV manufacturers do this to us? I was looking forward to flash finally dying!!!
DITTO for the Flash on the iPhone comment, are you crazy that is one of the best features for me, it automatically doesn't load crap websites.
