It is incorrect to state that we have "ever-worsening Euro exchange rates". These is mis-leading. If you do your research, you will see that with today's interbank exchange rates, one would receive 1.14 Euros to the £. This compares with a low, a couple of months ago, of 1.025 Euros to the £. Sterling has, therefore, strengthened by over 10% since the low and invalidates your statement.

40in too small and 46in too big?

40in,46in and 52in suggests Philips are using Samsung panels in the 9700 series. Can anybody confirm? If so we should see an improvement in static contrast... I've been holding off upgrading for a while but the design and the specs are irresistible... A new TV or a trip to Fiji.. Decisions, decisions...!

Pixel precise? So how do these match off against the current line up of
Perfect pixel, pixel plus 3hd, 2hd, (1)hd ?
Just by looking in the shops I can see the perfect pixel on standard def is quite an improvement on the others. I'm too cheap to buy any, but I'd struggle to be happy with any but perfect pixel...although 3 is probably ok. Standard def is pretty crucial for me.
By the way, how does anyone cope with the juddering that seems to be on so many models, drives me mental just looking at them in the shops.
