As great as LCD TVs are getting, we all know the future is OLED and Samsung is out to prove it. The latest testament to that fact is the 40in OLED prototype the company is showing off at the FPD International show. That makes it the world's largest OLED TV, for those counting.

The 40in diagonal size is achieved while still keeping the thickness at a tiny 8.9mm! In addition to that the set boasts the usual high specs we've come to expect of OLED, including a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, 200cd/m2 brightness and, of course, a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution.
According to Nikkei, there were a few manufacturing flaws, specifically some vertical line defects. As the 40in set is still a prototype we'll forgive Samsung any minor imperfections - there's plenty of time to iron those out before production units hit full-scale manufacturing after all!
All we need now if for someone to start selling OLED TVs already!
