It's difficult for us to get excited about a non-HD TV or projector these days, although as the BenQ MP512 ST proved it is still possible, but LG's H102 projector definitely has some plus points. Not least that it looks pretty, well, just pretty actually.

Although it sports a mediocre 800 x 600 resolution, the HS102 packs a 2,000:1 contrast ratio thanks to an LED tech called Phlatlite (something to do with photonic lattices apparently) which is far from mediocre for such a small device.

Going still further, the HS102 can play back DivX content from USB devices all by itself which is a great feature. The projector even has a built-in battery which is good for two hours of use away from power. That should be more than enough for an average film, or a Power Point presentation of doom.

Whether the HS102 will ever hit the UK is unknown. In Korea the projector is priced at around the equivalent of £300-odd which seems pretty decent value if you happen to be in the area.
