When Benny looked at the PT-AE1000E back in June it's probably safe to say he liked it, plastering it with a 10/10 overall score and Editors Choice award. Mere months later Panasonic is releasing a successor and if the details are to be believed then it looks similarly set to wow us.

Called the PT-AE2000E, the projector carries the same 1080p resolution as its younger sibling while upping the specs in just about every other area. Among its many features, we find 16-bit video processing, a 16,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio and 1,500 Lumens brightness. Connectivity is supplied in the form of three HDMI ports as well as Component and D-sub inputs.

The PT-AE2000E will cast a 120in image from as little as 3.6m (11ft), up to 7m (24ft) which is again an upgrade from the previous model. No pricing information is yet available despite the projector hitting the stores before the end of the month.
Considering the rival Epson EMP-TW1000 can now be found for south of £2000, we'd hope Panasonic can come close to that price-range.
