I’m going to go out on a limb here and promote a product that you might not expect from TrustedReviews. The reason for this, should you be curious, is because I love an excuse to use pirate terminology. So, belay yourselves and listen up you scurvy dogs. The product in question is a ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ themed TV/DVD combo player from Disney on which you can get your hands for a handful of pieces of eight ($199 in real money).

The site lists ‘on-screen display’ twice in the product description, which goes to show the extent of the feature set on offer. A digital tuner does make it though, and the DVD player also supports DVD-R/RW; so I guess it’s not as bad as it could have been. All this will be played back on a standard definition 20in screen, while there is the usual assortment of inputs including SCART, Composite and an aerial socket too. However, anyone buying this TV probably won’t be as worried about the specs as the fact that it’s pirate-themed, a stance I can fully appreciate.

Unconfirmed rumours also have it that, rather than delivering your TV, Disney will instead bury it near your house and supply a treasure map with ‘X’ marking the spot where it can be found.
