While all the headlines go to 50in, 60in and even greater monsters these days many of us still need a decent set for the bedroom, kitchen or study so rock has tried to come up with something a little unique.

Taking the "Is it a TV? Is it a PC?" discussion one step further is the 'meivo', which the capital-letter-hating company describes as an "LCD TV with an integrated computer".

Breaking it down, what we have is a 22in widescreen display with a lovely 1,680 x 1,050 resolution (good for 720p) powered by a Vista ready system sporting an Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It can be kitted out with up to two desktop hard drives, carries PVR functionality and is equipped to deliver 7.1 output to external speakers.

WiFi is built in giving the set access to the web and consequentially potential for IPTV and Internet TV, while Bluetooth and side mounted USB ports provide extended connectivity. An array of TV tuner options are available including twin digital and analogue/hybrid while the bundled RF keyboard and mouse keep the surrounding area cable free.

Interestingly, rock says it will look at offering other screen sizes in the future but if 22 inches are enough for you (ooh-err missus) then you can pick up the meivo from April for under £1,000 ex VAT.
