Read the full Toshiba Satellite Z830 review

With the Z830, Toshiba has created one of the lightest and most affordable Ultrabooks on the market, yet it’s packed with connectivity, sports a matt screen, and offers premium touches like a backlit keyboard. Unfortunately, its staid design limits its visual appeal compared to rivals, its keyboard doesn’t provide the best typing experience, and poor viewing angles let the 13.3in screen down badly. Like most Ultrabooks we’ve seen, it comes close, but no cigar.

After one year of usage many thing work much worse than at the beginning. In my case, I have significant problems with wi-fi connection (sometimes I am working on 2 laptops at the same time and another one does not have problems with connecting to wi-fi, while this one does). Furthermore there are some problems with power supply whch appear when I try to switch on or off or restart the laptop. Recently I could not switch it on for 4 days while being on a business trip. It was very embarassing :(
