Best pro camera for sports photography

Key features:
  • 16.2-million-pixel FX CMOS sensor
  • 3.2-inch, 921k-dot LCD screen
  • Shoots Full HD 1080p video at 60/50p frame rate

Who's it for? Serious professional photographers and posers. It's a monster of a camera that only real pros should consider.

As a professional DSLR, the Nikon D4 has all the tools for all types of photography. The Nikon D4S makes some small but telling changes to the image processing speed, shooting rate and autofocus to make this a great albeit pricey upgrade. It has the same fast and accurate AutoFocus (AF) system as in the D4 and while there's no built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, online access is provided via Nikon’s optional WT-5 wireless transmitter. Other features include a new interval timer and time-lapse image capture. It excels in low light performance and at £5000 it's going to be a dream for most to own one. It's nice to dream sometimes...
