Perhaps inevitably for a 60in TV driven by edge LED lighting, the 60LE636 suffers some backlight consistency flaws during dark scenes that stop it being an ideal home cinema TV. It’s absolutely excellent for watching the footie on, though, partly thanks to the sheer enormity of its screen, and partly because its colour performance and contrast are both staggeringly good considering this monster screen costs - miraculously - under £1300. It uses its size to produce some above-average audio as well, but please note that 3D is not on the menu.
