The iPhone cameras have been pretty special ever since the iPhone 4
launched in 2010, but the camera interface has remained somewhat…
lacking. It makes taking quick photos a breeze, but doesn't offer much
scope for customisation or creativity. That's where apps like Photosynth
come in. It's a very versatile panorama app that automatically stitches
vistas out of your iOS device camera's images.Strangely enough,
the latest iOS 5 update does have a panorama mode nestled within it,
but you'll need to get your virtual screwdriver out to unlock it - even
so, we doubt it'd be as good as Photosynth. The app lets you create
panoramas automatically, with just a slow pan of your iPhone or iPad. It
automatically senses when it needs to capture another scene, and blends
the results. Although fairly simple in-use, its results are excellent,
lacking the jagged quality other panorama apps supply.
