The Third Rail System iPhone Case Review
The Third Rail System iPhone Case
A removable smart battery makes the Third Rail System an excellent iPhone case.
Verdict
Pros
- Stylish case
- Removable smart battery allows for charging on-the-go
- Allows you to charge other devices
Cons
- Cumbersome and heavy
Key Specifications
- Removable battery
- Sleek case
- Ability to charge other devices
This is an impressive battery case for three reasons. Firstly, you can take the battery off when you don’t need to charge your phone. Secondly, the case without the battery is stylish and sleek. Thirdly, the battery pack can also be used to charge other mobile devices via a USB cable.
The battery itself holds an impressive amount of charge — a full 12 hours of heavy internet, music and camera use was no match for it. In fact, the only problem with the case is that it’s slightly bulky.
The case is 1cm longer than the iPhone itself. When the battery is attached, the case is a full 2cm thick through the middle, and it weighs 60g more than the iPhone itself. A small amount, but when it’s in your pocket it soon starts to weigh you down.
It’s only cumbersome when you have the battery attached, and you won’t need it on all the time. This case is a commuter’s dream.
