No comparison with Trine?

From the trailer (and switching between three characters with different abilities) it sounds very like Trine and Trine 2. I really enjoyed those games so I'll probably get this.

By the way any idea whether mouse + keyboard would work well on a PC? They were fine with Trine.

To answer my own question, yes it works very well with keyboard and mouse. Actually I reckon you could just use keyboard.

It's very Trine-like, the major difference being that you have all three characters in existence at once rather only one at a time.

There's also a lot more running back and forth, but that's because Trine's puzzles were all about using the characters' abilities in order to progress rather than finding and using objects.

By the way I've played through The Twins' own level and talk about creepy!

I agree with what you say about the controls; sometimes I have to press a key twice before the character responds.

All in all The Cave is very enjoyable and playing through with the various characters (which each have their own levels to play) gives way more than £10 worth of fun.

Thanks for that, Bugblatter!

I was curious about The Cave and having watched the trailer earlier today I was making the same comparisons about Trine (which I agree is an enjoyable game). I was also wondering which platform to get it on. I think I'll go with the Steam version since it seems you've had no issues with keyboard and mouse controls, and I usually prefer those to a gamepad anyway :)
