I bought a 2+ for parents and they found it unusable. This is because the remote control (the same as the 3) is RUBBISH!! Its playback of codec is superb (handling SBS/OU mkvs) but if you're more than a metre away you will have very limited and very frustrating control of it especially if you a TB drive with thousand of files on it.

I do not know why they have used the same remote again! AVOID!

I have the Cyclone Micro 2+ and just bought this new one. I had no problem with the remote for both.

Having built in memory is an excellent idea. It works well for me when I do presentation videos. Most of my customer mistaken this as an Apple product as I have the white version.

I wish the have a version with built in networking or wireless in the future.

I have a MEDIAGATE HD from mediaup and my main problem are with srt subtitles as they appear too small to be read on the screen and, being white or yellow, they just disappear on bright backgrounds.

I'm wondering how subtitles rate on Cyclone. I saw that version 2 also exhibit small subtitles. How about version 3?

Srt subtitles are resizable to huge dimensions and can be colored in blue, red and so on. I believe the same is true for all text-file subitles formats. Picture-based formats (idx+sub) are fixed in size and color, so white and kinda small, but still quite readable.

I have a Cyclone 3 purchased from Bluestone online via ebay 2 months ago, i shall be asking for my money back as its almost unusable becouse the remote almost never works. Even if you place the remote a few feet away, sometimes it will work to power up but then trying to navigate is at best hit and miss. On the odd occasion i have managed to get it to load and play it was very good, however so frustrating its not worth the stress. (by the way I have tried changing the battery

I have the same problem with it. My son bought it new for me last Christmas, but I have only been able to use it about 3-4 times as the remote is absolutely useless. I have replaced the battery but it is hit and miss. Tried going on the sumvision website but my computer warns me of virus attack if I proceed. Needless to say, I haven't visited their website. What should I do? My son did'nt keep the receipt but has copied all my favourite films which I can't watch.

is it compatible with USB3

That is a battery problem - the moment you put a fresh battery in it should work normal. (Took me a few good months to realize)

The cyclone 3 micro is excellent.
I've had all 3 cyclone micros. This is the best one just because of the amount of codecs it supports.
If you can open up the remote you can adjust the IR bulb and get it level as it's pointed down a bit.
I've formatted mine to NTFS

Need to replace the cheapo batteries with decent ones. I and my two sons have these and all worked perfectly after replacing the cheap batteries with quality ones.
