it's basically a vertex with slower (cheaper) MLC memory. Should be about 10% cheaper than Vertex, which has even seen a price hike due to its popularity! I'm definitely happy with it :D Need a second one for RAID now..

From the sites that have it in stock in other countries (e.g. NCIX) it appears to be about the same price as current drives, and certainly a long way from what anyone not in marketing would describe as a cost-concious drive.
