Xiphias, I think they are too different:
Optimisation: max. performance & reliability vs. min. power consumption,
RPM: 15k vs. 7k2,
Connection: SAS2 6Gb/s vs. SATA 3Gb/s,
Avg. seek: 2.9ms. vs. 12ms,
etc.

I hadn't realised that 15k 2.5" drives were so power hungry, that's the sort of figure you'd expect from a good 3.5" drive, the typical 2.5" drive found in a laptop is closer to 1W idle.
