Running low on Eee PC SSD space - who isn't? Then this could be the answer...

Much like Buffalo, which announced dedicated Eee PC SSD upgrade modules in July, Super Talent has hopped aboard with some much needed storage solutions of its own.

Available in 16GB (model number - 'FPM16GHAE'), 32GB ('FPM32GHAE') and 64GB ('FPM64GHAE') capacities respectively the line of mini PCIe based SSDs aren't fliers with 40MBps read and 15MBps write speeds but they will more than match your original SSD shipping unit and what's more, they're cheap.

"How cheap?" I hear you cry. Well at $53 (£30), $79 (£45) and $149 (£86) we are indeed talking about products that will go particularly easy on your wallet. ?It?s a natural extension of our SSD product range to offer SSDs for popular netbook brands," said Super Talent Director of Marketing, Joe James. "Solid state storage is ideal for entry level mobile PCs?.

Happily all three capacities are sampling now with mass production starting in November - just in time for Santa to slip a nice little titbit into his sack...
