I like how they (randomly/corporately?) chose Hawaii for their symposium. Surfs pretty good this time of year too.

Perhaps they should rename the event 'ho‘oholo lolouila', which, roughly translated means 'computer decision'?

Oh lord here we go again, lets just leave it at Blu Ray for now please at least give it a couple of years.

Hell, it's never too early! I was backing Blu-Ray from the outset because I first heard about it 7 years ago! First I heard of HD DVD was when the "format war" started getting publicised...

Bet you there's a 16 layer format war in 5-ish years time, the rival format comes out of nowhere, and I bet this Pioneer one wins out. Either that or holographic storage is the next big format thing - and the rival format comes out of nowhere and the originally publicised one wins out...
