Looks like Apple has at least made one deadline this month.

Following the iPhone SDK delay and subsequent 6 March launch there is some consolation for Time Capsule fans - in the US at least.

With just one more day of the month to go Apple has sent out emails to pre-order customers saying their shipments are now on their way. Give or take 24 hours this just beats the company's February deadline.

Typically however this doesn't translate to we poor fops across the Pond with Time Capsule's listing still stating 'Ready to ship: 3 - 4 weeks'. We are also paying our usual Being British premium of £329 for the 1TB version and £199 for the 500GBer. By contrast the Yanks benefit from $499 (£250) and $299 (£150) pricing respectively.

For the record, Time Capsule is Apple's tie-in with the Time Machine functionality brought in with Mac OS X Leopard and enables wired or wireless scheduled back-up over Draft 802.11n. Nice, if you can get your hands on it...
