Also new to the Swissbit range is the Swissmemory Prestige. Now this really is the gadget for the man/woman who has everything. Swissbit and Victorinox have joined forces with Bonfort to create the most desirable and most expensive memory keys on the market.

The Prestige range continues the tradition of putting high-speed USB memory keys into Victorinox housings, but this time the housings are constructed from solid sterling silver or 18 karat gold!

With a number of exclusive designs on offer, these memory keys are being aimed at corporate high fliers who just have to have the best of everything. The idea is that you will keep the housing forever and can upgrade the memory key as capacities increase – a fair enough plan I guess.

As if the solid gold and silver versions aren’t enough, you can even have a diamond encrusted Prestige, although I can’t even begin to imagine how much such an item would cost. Bonfort also offers an engraving service, in case you want your Prestige to be just that bit more exclusive.

Make the most of the pictures on this page because something tells me I won’t be getting a review sample from the Swissmemory Prestige range, no matter how nicely I ask. Prices start at around €980, which I imagine will be for a silver version. Expect that price to climb considerably for the gold units, and as for the diamond version? If you have to ask, you can’t afford it!
