If you’re feeling a bit musically creative and fancy putting together your own dance tunes using your phone, SPC - Music Sketchpad provides an easy way to get started. It’s a step sequencer that allows you to create percussion and synth loops that you can then arrange into a song structure.
As your song plays back the pads are used to trigger the loops light up to show you which are currently active in that part of the song. You can then tap these pads to muted certain loops or bring in new ones. There are also easy editing controls for each loop, so you can make changes as you go and new samples in .wav format can be loaded in as and when you like. On top of this, Music Sketchpad also offers good integration with the developer’s other music app - RD3 Groovebox.
If you’re looking for a simple and fun way to put together some simple dance tunes using your Android phone, SPC – Music Sketchpad is a good option.
