Sony Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 video review

Sony's Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 11 is the first consumer-grade video editing app to support 3D camcorder footage directly. You can adjust the 3D effect, apply filters, and perform all normal editing tasks, then output 3D to YouTube and Blu-ray disc. The range of effects available is comprehensive, and there's a new, more powerful text and titling plug-in, although only 10 video tracks are available. This is a powerful editing tool, although the interface will be daunting for new users.

Wow that UI looks horrendous. I tested a range of video editors a while ago, and they where all shockingly complex. I ended up using windows movie maker, basic but easy to understand.

I mean honestly would it kill these guys to invest a bit in usability? Adobe is the same.

Although I agree with Brian on the interface, After using Premiere Pro for 7 years , this is not so bad and really works efficiently, especially the GPU Acceleration on AVCHD and H.264 mov out of a Canon 5D Mark II, it's Stabilization is excellent and the unobtrusive rendering smooth, better than Premiere Elements. As this is an 1/8 price of Sony Vegas Pro 10 and based on the same operating system except not 64 bit, it still gives even Premiere Pro 5.5 a go for the money
